College “Spectri” has been involved in the implementation of inclusive education since 2013. In order to provide quality vocational education for people with disabilities and special needs, the college has created an accessible learning environment, which is arranged according to the principle of universal design. To date, more than 300 people with disabilities and special needs have been enrolled in the college.
The college has a “universal design”, which implies a physical environment adapted to students with any needs and abilities. Namely: a ramp, an elevator, a sign (at the entrance to all floors and classrooms) – Braille, a wall-mounted seat, marking the first and last steps of the stairs, paths in the corridor and lobby for blind and visually impaired people.
It is worth noting that the student enrollment rate covers a wide range of construction disciplines.
In 2023, the College “Spectri” was awarded a special award of the Parliament of Georgia for the promotion of inclusive professional education.
